You have one special dog in a lifetime and Hank was that dog for us.
Normandy’s Duke Henry was born in Puyallup, WA in 2002 to a litter of 6 girls 1 boy.
He was first known as “Hank” which the kids (and then Mike) morphed into “Hankfurter” then “Furter”, and sometimes “Dumb Dumb”.
He spent most of his adult life in Normandy Park, WA swimming in the sound and playing on the beach with his dog friends.
For many years he attended “Super Fun Happy Dog” taking the bus to Ravensdale, eagerly anticipating riding the bus daily.
He loved kittens and stuffed animals and always had a gentle touch.
Hank was well known for his ability to carry 3 tennis balls and a large stick in and out of the water.
Artie “The backup dog” became his brother in 2006 and Hank now became “The Big Dog”. They loved their vacations on the ocean and walking together daily.
Hank retired to Scenic Hill in Kent, slowed by arthritis but always happy. He passed peacefully at his home with his family at his side to say good-bye.
Hank will live in our memories and we have so many after 14-1/2 years. He had a full and happy life. He is running in the grass fields and swimming in the rainbow waters in doggy heaven.
